Cyber Summit Korea 2024 :
A Step Ahead for Global Cybersecurity - At the Beginning of the AI, Quantum and Space Era

The rapid development of artificial intelligence, quantum computing and space technologies presents both unprecedented opportunities and significant challenges, and also introduces new cyber threats.

Against this backdrop, liberal democracies engage in close collaboration with allies and partners to share security policies and threat information as part of the mutual commitment to maintaining peace and global order in cyberspace.

In line with this effort, the National Intelligence Service and the National Security Research Institute are hosting Cyber Summit Korea that will bring together experts and scholars to discuss emerging technologies and cyber policies, reinforcing our role as a responsible member of the international community.

APEX

What is APEX?

  • It is an international Cybersecurity exercise that begins this year with the aim of fostering global Cybersecurity alliance.
  • The exercise is conducted using a cyber warfare scenario based on a hypothetical interstate conflict in the Indo-Pacific region, and involves more than 20 other major countries from NATO and Indo-Pacific region as the defense team(Blue Team).

CCE

What is CCE?

  • The Cyber Conflict Exercise (CCE) is a cyber defense competition with public, private and junior sectors held by the National Intelligence Service and the National Security Research Institute since 2017 to "raise public awareness and build the workforce of the future on cybersecurity.“
  • It marks its 8th anniversary and it will be held as an event of Cyber Summit Korea.

Eligibility : Anyone from South Korea can participate

  • Public Sector: Public of national organization
  • Private Sector: Private and university (graduate) students
  • Junior Sector: 9 to 18 years old

Main Schedule

  • Prior CCE Experience : July 25 – August 1, 2024
  • Preliminary Round (Online) : August 3, 2024, 09:00~19:00 (GMT+9)
  • Finals : September 11, 2024, 09:00~18:00 (GMT+9)
  • Awards Ceremony : September 12, 2024, 11:00~11:40 (GMT+9)
